Work in Progress
I just wanted to show you some work in progress, basically because that’s most of what I’ve been doing lately. With the Studio Tour coming in 2 months! I know it sounds like a lot, but it’s not that much time if you consider all the other work that I’m doing besides art. It’s all fun though, and I’m grateful I have the opportunity to do all these things. Being a Artist/Nanny can get you pretty busy
Some rough sketches before starting goes long ways.
Still quite a bit to get done though. This is just a little sneak peek preview

I’m trying to create a little collection here. This are other boards I’m planning on using. I used colors for the illustration boards.

Sneak peek – New work. collages
I’ve been trying to add some textures to my work, just exploring here and there new ways of doing things. Keeping it fresh is very important to me in order to keep it fun. So here’s a sneak peek of some new work… You’ll see them on the shop very soon. Stay in touch!
Super excited – Studio Tour
A super quick note just to say how excited I am about being selected to open my studio for this year’s Whatcom Artist Studio Tour. I found out a bit ago but I was too busy telling you about other things. Anyways, You are invited! if you’re around the area, I would love to have you in my studio in October! Please, check out their website.
Summer Art Exhibition – Circles
I’m so excited to announce that 3 of my illustrations are at The University House in Seattle, WA. The opening was last month but with the road trip and work, I didn’t have a lot of time to upload this guys here. But here they are! Enjoy!
You can find prints of this pieces here, here and here!

It was a quite busy at the opening, so much fun!

I took some time to look at the other artists work. There were pretty cool circles there.

Grandma Jeanne Horsey was there too! she’s one of my favorite artists <3
I <3 Cows
Today I just wanted to say I <3 cows. We don’t really talk a whole lot about them, but we use them every day, don’t we?
A truly sustainable food system
Since last week we changed our way of experiencing grocery shopping and cooking. We signed up to Acme Farms and Kitchen which is “Whatcom County’s simple solution to eating delicious, locally produced food. We grow, gather and test regionally produced food so all you need to do is shop online, pick up your order [at our convenient Bellingham location] and feast”.
To me it’s a great food system when you know where and how your food is produced, you can reduce waste in significant amounts, eat fresh, organically and locally produced food and when you don’t get bored of eating the same food over and over. Oh! and very important… at a reasonable price. If you’re local please check them out Here. If not, check them out anyways to get an idea of what you may find or start in your community. I feel like it’s a way of changing the world, one step at a time.
